- eclipse is positively snappy on a 8-core workstation
- lotus notes still exists
- there is such thing as too big a monitor. So far, not liking the ginormous widescreen. Would much rather have 2 or more 19"-20" monitors.

30" is not too big. (If you're maximizing everything, you're doing it wrong.)
Congrats on the new job. Where is it at?
yeah, I'm used to maximizing my apps and having one monitor for IDE and another monitor for e-mail/docs/etc. Trying to get out of that habit.
Working at Rockwell Collins. Will be doing C++, C#, and a bit of Python.
